Items made of cotton can be washed at 40C in the washing machine, including most items made with vintage cotton. If in doubt, maybe with some vintage material that looks a bit frail, wash them by hand in lukewarm water. Items containing wool should preferably not be washed at all, or be washed cold by hand, and not too often, since soap tends to break down wool's natural elastic and airy condition.

Knitwear, hats and homeware

KAF22 knitwear and homeware are usually made from a mix of different materials: cotton, merinowool, viscose, polyacrylic, lurex etc. So treat them like a woolly item: handwash cold, with a soft wool friendly soap, and be careful not to wrench items. Dry flat and away from a direct heat source. Before washing a pouf, take the filling out.
